ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Creative Director will join our leadership team, working directly with Leap’s Owner, our Art Director, and our Director of Operations. We’ll look to them for big ideas and concepts that draw from their deep understanding of the creative process. If you find satisfaction in creating beautiful concepts in words and visuals, and taking the time to share them with partners, this could be the role for you. Leading an intimate team the Creative Director will inspire and guide others to deliver outstanding work. Your artistic talent, strategic thinking, and extensive industry experience gives you confidence to oversee the creative direction of our projects, collaborate with clients, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence. COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & PERKS

  • Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000

  • Comprehensive extended health and dental

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate concepts: lead creative brainstorming sessions, cultivating a culture of ideation, problem-solving, and pushing the boundaries of design.

  • Leading the creative process, driving forward-thinking initiatives and ensuring the delivery of exceptional design solutions that align with client's objectives and exceed their expectations.

  • Collaborate closely with clients and our team to deeply understand brand vision, target audience, and creative requirements, translating them into compelling design strategies that solve their unique challenges.

  • Champion a proactive and customer-centric approach, going above and beyond to provide exceptional service and deliver creative solutions that address client's business needs.

  • Conceptualize, develop, and oversee the execution of innovative and impactful design concepts across various mediums, including digital, print, and multimedia.

  • Inspire and mentor a team of designers, copywriters, photographers, illustrators, and other creatives, fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment that encourages growth and continuous learning.

  • Present and pitch Big Ideas to clients and internal partners, effectively communicating each solution's creative vision, strategic rationale, and tangible business impact.

  • Uphold brand guidelines, industry best practices, and quality standards while constantly raising the bar for excellence and staying ahead of design trends.

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful and timely execution.

  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, design tools, and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the agency's creative capabilities and provide innovative solutions to clients.

  • Actively contribute to the growth and success of the agency by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and participating in business development efforts that align with our strategic goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record as a Creative Director or in a similar senior leadership role within a creative agency or design-focused environment.

  • Outstanding portfolio showcasing successful creative projects across various mediums, demonstrating strategic thinking, exceptional storytelling, compelling visual design, and an eye for innovation.

  • Expert proficiency in industry-standard design and web technologies.

  • In-depth understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and emerging design trends, with the ability to translate brand objectives into visually compelling solutions.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts, receive feedback, and influence partners at all levels.

  • Strong leadership qualities, with a passion for mentoring and developing creative talent, fostering a collaborative, inclusive work culture that encourages initiative and problem-solving.

  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving client needs and market dynamics.

  • Strategic mindset with keen business acumen, understanding the intersection of design, marketing, and branding to drive tangible results for clients.
