About the Role: Our Director of Operations will oversee and ensure collaboration between all LAC departments: development, delivery, partnerships, and administration. A bridge between technical and business teams, they are responsible for resource management and utilization, operational efficiencies, and project oversight. 

Drawing on their deep senior leadership experience and familiarity with the SDLC, our Director of Operations will skillfully maintain operational harmony and rally our global teams around our shared mission. They will bring efficiencies and alignment around approach, tooling, and internal process. 

Our ideal candidate is an implementor, who has a proven track record of managing large-scale enterprise technology projects and ensuring compliance with external audit requirements. As a service-based organization, it’s important for them to demonstrate customer-first mindset, for both our internal and external collaborators. 

This role reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • $120,000 - $150,000 annual salary 

  • Remote within Canada (our ideal candidate has the flexibility & maturity to manage a schedule that includes occasional virtual and in-person collaboration with teams in PST, India, and United Kingdom)

What you’ll be doing… 

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.

  • Manage and ensure alignment across sub-organizations at LAC (development, delivery, partnerships, customer-facing services).

  • Establish, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

  • Oversee tracking, billing, and allocation of resources effectively.

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity.

  • Solicit feedback from all collaborators including employees, customers, and vendors.

  • Share feedback with the rest of the leadership team and incorporate it into decision-making.

  • Maintain an accurate schedule with all projects and potential sales accurately forecasted to make sure we have the right number of staff for our workload.

  • Act as a central point between technical and business teams to ensure healthy organizational culture and team retention. 

What you bring… 

  • 10 + years of senior leadership experience in software development, technical service delivery, or related industry

  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and align teams on ways of working.

  • Experience working with, and leading teams, through ambiguity. 

  • Project management experience, particularly related to long implementation, enterprise-level projects.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mediate between technical and business viewpoints

  • A high degree of empathy and emotional intelligence.

  • Familiarity with resource tracking, time management, and billing tools.

  • Actively listen and engage in two-way communication.

  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and development skills to support team growth.

  • Proven experience working with remote, global teams.

  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
